Hello.
I'm back! (I took that photo at a Navy Conference that I helped out at with) (that sounds grammatically wrong)

Highlight of the past month would probably that visit to Singfest and watching Travis perform live. Really enjoyable evening with weesiang. The whole day we were just anticipating Travis to come and perform. But being bigshots and talented like they are, they were the star of the whole concert and were made to perform last. So that means weesiang and I had to sit through SIMPLE PLAN. Yes, can you believe it. One whole hour of boy-band 'punk' self-pity music. But when Travis came, it was all worth it. Very nice Travis!

Welcome To My Life - Simple Plan

Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desparate to find something more?
Before your life is over
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With their big fake smiles and their stupid lies
While deep inside you're bleeding

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me...
(there's more self pity after this but its just too much.. even for this blog.)

Highlight for August would be LoveSingapore where all churches in Singapore gather on the day before National Day and pray for Singapore. It was amazing. I love patriotic stuff like this. National Slavery made me love Singapore so much more now! I guess its an identity thing. The whole expo place was filled with red and national flags and banners of God. Really loved the energy and the praying. We prayed for the various foreigner groups that have flooded Singapore in the recent years, to pray for blessings and forgiveness for being nationalist (a nation form of racism) I am guilty of cursing China piangs. So we prayed for them and also for the government and ya, it was really good. I was doing guard duty on National Day but I managed to watch the fireworks. Not too bad. A little short this time though.

My national service has taken another turn again. I am now at the squadron building in my naval base, doing designs. Working hours have stretched far more than the normal, but I do feel very good. It almost feels like working in Spoon Creative a couple years ago.

Alright, work aside, this past month has been a month of awakening I guess. Grace spoke to me in coffeebean a few weeks ago and I remember how much I have forgotten the importance of God in my life. I guess maybe that is one of the reasons why I am usually grumpy and less forgiving onboard ship (now you know where all that complaining about XXXXXXX and XXXXXX and XXXXX came from) Hahah But lately I have been trying to discipline myself to read 'Fuel' (a bible reading program my church launched a week ago) and truly, I am already struggling with being faithful in that. Seems like I have much more to work on!

I know I have been guilty of reminiscing the past a lot and thinking about how I was then and how my life was fun... etc But I guess, sometimes I have to tell myself to shut up and live in the now. Comparing doesn't do much but deciding what you are going to do with the now is. So, that's why I have been trying... I do emphasize on 'trying' to lead a happier, God-healthy life. Not easy, I do fail and get fed up with trying.. but if you don't give up, you are bound to succeed right?

What I am fighting for?
I am fighting for God's plans for my life.

I know I sound like a fanatic and a little crazy, maybe act 'holy' or 'happy christian'. But I thought it would be a good idea to be a bit more positive on this blog more. Hahaha. And I am really grateful to where God placed me la. Yay!

By the way, I have this drama production coming up in two weeks where I act as a seducer (woot). More details on this site!
